Harvested Area and Production of Paddy in DKI Jakarta, 2022

The Availability of up to date and accurate agricultural data is the Foundation to deliver a proper agriculture policy. Since 2018, an effort has been conducted to repair methodology for counting large harvest paddy by applying objective measurement that utilise information and communication technology as well as the availability of image of high resolution satellite. This effort were carried out by BPS with collaborate with the Agency for the Assessment and Application Technology (BPPT) National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), which is now become the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and also involving the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN) and the Information Agency Geospatial (BIG). This Collaboration delivered by an activity entitled as “Integrated Data Collection on Plant Crop with Area Sampling Frame Method” or more known with ASF survey. Implementation of ASF survey for paddy has been implemented nationally in 2018. The Observations was conducted on last 7 (seven) days in every month.
