Abstract

Exports :

  • The value of Jakarta’s exports in June 2024 reached US$1,089.92 million, increased 5.97 percent compared to exports in May 2024 and rose by 27.01 percent compared to June 2023.
  • Oil and gas exports reached US$2.27 million, increased 2.46 percent compared to May 2024, and rose 84.15 percent compared to exports in June 2023.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in June 2024 reached US$1,087.65 million, increased 5.98 percent compared to May 2024 and increased 26,92 percent compared to June 2023.
  • The commodities with the largest decrease compared to May 2024 were footwear, amounting to US$145.50 million (3,564.11 percent). The decrease in exports occurred in eight main export commodities.
  • By industry classification, non-oil and gas exports from the manufacturing industry in June 2024 rose by 28.26 percent compared to the same month in 2023. Meanwhile, agriculture and mining and other exports decreased by 6.17 and 34.46 percent, respectively.
  • The largest exports in June 2024 were to Singapore, in amount of US$147.08 million, followed by the United States at US$126.70 million and China at US$115.90 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 35.74 percent.
  • The cumulative exports in January-June 2024 amounted to US5,669.98, increased by 6.89 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.

 Imports :

  • Imports of Jakarta in June 2024 were worth US$ 6,051.69 million, which fell by 5.46 percent compared with May 2024, or fell by 2.38 percent compared with June 2023.
  • Imports of oil and gas in June 2024 were worth US$ 256.79 million, which rose by 47.78 percent compared to May 2024 and rose by 75.75 percent compared to June 2023.
  • Imports of non-oil and gas in June 2024 were worth US$ 5,794.90 million, which fell by 6.94 percent compared to May 2024 and fell by 4.26 percent compared to June 2023.
  • The most significant import increase in June 2024 was mineral fuels, which rose by US$ 83.02 million (46.58 percent). On the contrary, iron and steel experienced the highest decrease by US$ 158.81 million (minus 37.49 percent).
  • Based on the classification of Broad Economic Categories (BEC), compared with May 2024, imports of capital goods in June 2024 increased by US$ 14.02 million (0.94 percent), followed by consumption goods by US$ 11.15 million (1.47 percent). Meanwhile, the import of intermediate goods decreased by US$ 374.63 million (9.04 percent).
  • The largest trading partner countries imports in January-June 2024 were China with US$ 13,348.65 million (38.65 percent), Japan with US$ 3,571.66 million (10.34 percent), and Thailand with US$ 2,805.84 million (8.12 percent)
