Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Remain Stable in March 2023

Abstract

In March 2023, the condition of the Jakarta hotel industry is relatively stable compared to the previous month. The occupancy rate for star hotel rooms in Jakarta was 53.37 percent or increased by 0.75 percentage points compared to February 2023. Offline events such as Meetings, Incentives, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) by the government and the private sector, as well as music concerts, have helped to draw in Jakarta star hotel guests.

In line with the performance of the occupancy rate, the average length of stay of Jakarta star hotel guests in March 2023 slightly went up by 0.03 days to 1.85 days compared to the month before. This situation related to the rise in Indonesian guests’ average length of stay, which slightly rose by 0.04 days compared to the previous month.

On the other hand, the proportion of foreign guests this month increased significantly compared to the previous month. In detail, guests staying at Jakarta star hotels consist of 91.68 percent of Indonesian guests and 8.32 percent of foreign guests.
