Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Slightly Rise in February 2023

Release Date : April 3, 2023
File Size : 2.26 MB

Abstract

The government has officially revoked the public activity restrictions policy since the end of 2022. This situation is a breath of fresh air for the hospitality industry in 2023. Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) activities by the government and the private sector, as well as several concerts which have started to be held in Jakarta, boosted the occupancy rate of hotel rooms in Jakarta.
In February 2023, Jakarta star hotels’ occupancy rate was 52.62 percent, or an increase of 4.22 percentage points compared to the previous month. However, the average length of stay for star hotel guests in Jakarta decreased by 0.10 days compared to the last month to 1.82 days.
Based on nationality, Indonesian guests dominate hotel room occupancy up to 94.60 percent, while the remaining 5.40 percent were foreign guests. This condition indicates that the growth of domestic tourist activities has increased Jakarta star hotels’ occupancy rate.
