Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Slightly Drops in September 2022

Abstract

The Jakarta hospitality industry is still in the recovery stage. However, government activities and activities in the private sector had not fully utilized accommodation services as before the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, Jakarta star hotels’ occupancy rate in September 2022 has not yet been able to grow and remained at 54 percent.

Meanwhile, the average length of stay of guests decreased from 1.99 days last month to 1.79 in September 2022. It means that Jakarta star hotel guests used to stay for one to two days.

Indonesian guests dominated hotel room occupancy up to 93,0 percent, while the remaining 7,0 percent are foreign guests. This result indicates that the recovery of the Jakarta hotel industry relates the growth of domestic tourists.
