What is Mortality?
Friends of Data, mortality is defined as the state of permanent disappearance of all signs of life, which can occur at any time after a live birth.
In the Advanced 2020 Population Census (SP2020), accurate and more complete data collection on demographic parameters is carried out by including more and more complex questions. One of the main indicators collected is mortality.
The measure of mortality can be seen from several indicators, such as the Crude Death Rate (CDR), Age Specific Death Rates (ASDR), Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), Child Mortality Rate Rate-CMR), Under-Five Mortality Rate-U5MR), and Maternal Mortality Ratio-MMR.
