Abstract

  • Jakarta’s export value in November 2023 reached US$ 996.46 million, which decreased by 0.69 percent compared to October 2023 or increased by 0.66 percent compared to November 2022.
  • The value of oil and gas exports in November 2023 were US$ 1.42 million, fell by 16.92 percent compared to October 2023 or decreased by 47.58 percent compared to November 2022.
  • The value of non-oil and gas exports in November 2023 was US$ 995.04 million, decreasing by 0.66 percent compared to October 2023 or increasing by 0.79 percent compared to November 2022.
  • According to main commodities, exports of six main commodities declined in November 2023. The commodity with the deepest decline compared to October 2023 was miscellaneous chemical products at US$ 30.43 million, which fell by 12.93 percent.
  • The three main export destination countries with the deepest decline compared to October 2023 were Hong Kong at US$ 44.83 million (minus 44.88 percent), followed by the Philippines at US$ 75.18 million (minus 17.05 percent), and Japan at US$ 56.60 million (minus 6.79 percent).
  • Compared to November 2022, six main exported commodities have increased. The highest increase was precious metals and jewellery /precious stones commodities with a value of US$ 123.22 million, which rose by 44.80 percent.
  • According to the main export destination countries, exports increased in six main countries compared to November 2022. The highest increase in exports was Hong Kong, reaching 73.56 percent.
  • Cumulative exports reached US$ 10,144.83 million, down 3.65 percent compared to the same period the previous year. In comparison, cumulative non-oil and gas exports reached US$ 10,125.10 million, down 3.60 percent compared to last year
  • Imports of Jakarta in November 2023 were worth US$ 6,525.56 million, increased by 5.09 percent compared with October 2023, and fell by 6.62 percent compared to November 2022.
  • Imports of oil and gas in November 2023 were worth US$ 225.17 million, which increased by 20.27 percent compared to October 2023 and increased by 1.10 percent compared to November 2022.
  • Imports of non-oil and gas in November 2023 were worth US$ 6,300.39 million, which increased by 4.61 percent compared to October 2023, and decreased by 6.87 percent compared to November 2022.
  • The most significant import increase in November 2023 was mineral fuels, which rose by US$ 38.28 million (20.05 percent). On the contrary, miscellaneous chemical products experienced the highest decrease by US$ 5.60 million (minus 3.94 percent).
  • Based on the broad economic categories classification, compared with October 2023, imports of capital goods in November 2023 increased by US$ 157.51 million (11.23 percent), followed by consumption goods by US$ 83.36 million (9.96 percent), and intermediate goods by US$ 74.91 million (1.89 percent).
  • The largest trading partner countries imports in January-November 2023 were China with US$ 24,147.48 million (34.65 percent), Japan US$ 9.165.59 million (13.15 percent), and Thailand US$ 5,764.21 million (8.27 percent).
