Export in October reached US$ 1,003.39 milion, increasing 4.15 percent compared to September 2023

Abstract

Jakarta’s export value in October 2023 reached US$ 1,003.39 million, which rose by 4.15 percent compared to September 2023 or increased by 1.45 percent compared to October 2022.

The value export of oil and gas in October 2023 was US$ 1.71 million, which fell by 24.23 percent compared to September 2023 or decreased by 33.15 percent compared to October 2022.

The value export of non-oil and gas exports in October 2023 was US$ 1,001.68 million, which rose by 4.22 percent compared to September 2023 or increased by 1.54 percent compared to October 2022.

According to the ten main commodities, eight main commodities increased in October 2023. The commodity with the highest increase compared to September 2023 was clothing and accessories (not knitted), US$ 26.87 million, which increased by 42.88 percent.

The three main export destination countries with the highest increase compared to September 2023 were India at US$ 28.35 million (53.19 percent), Thailand at US$n57.10 million (25.51 percent), and China at US$ 149.69 million (24.05 percent).

In October 2023, six main commodities increased compared to the same month in the previous year. The highest increase was in the export of precious metals and jewelry/gems commodities by US$ 128.12 million (75.64 percent).

Based on the main destination countries, exports increased in six main countries compared to October 2022, namely Hong Kong US$ 81.33 million (171.93 percent), India US$ 28.35 million (96.22 percent), Thailand US$ 57,10 million (31.17 percent), Japan US$ 60.72 million (24.24 percent), Singapore US$ 80.81 million (11.90 percent), and Vietnam US$ 63.05 million (2.09 percent).
