Abstract
Jakarta star hotels occupancy rate was the highest since the COVID-19 outbreak struck this country in March 2020. Although it has not returned to its normal level, the star hotels occupancy rate in November 2021 was recorded at 53.3 percent, or increased by 2.7 percentage points compared to the previous month. The decline in the Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level in Jakarta to level 1 positively impacts the hospitality industry. On the other hand, the star hotel guests’s average length of stay decreased by 0.14 days from 2.14 days in October 2021 to 2 days in November 2021. Meanwhile, the composition of hotel guests remained stable. Indonesian guests dominated hotel room occupancy up to 94.1 percent while foreign guests occupied 5.9 percent.
