Eid Holiday Moments, Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Increase Compared to The Previous Year

Jakarta – In the second year of the pandemic, the tourism sector began to gain revival. In May 2021, coinciding with the Eid holiday, the occupancy rate of hotel room was at 45.23 percent level. The increase was recorded quite high, which was up to 20.91 percentage point compared to May in the previous year. The government has banned homecoming during Eid al-Fitr in order to suppress the spread of COVID-19. This was utilized by the hotel industry to provide a staycation program.
