Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Falls during Ramadan and Eid Holidays Moments

Abstract

In the first quarter of 2023, the performance of hotel industry in Jakarta showed a reasonably good performance. Jakarta star hotels occupancy rate reached 53.37 percent in March 2023. However, this achievement was difficult to maintain in the following month. Along with the Ramadan and Eid holidays, Jakarta star hotels’ occupancy rate April 2023 was 42.52 percent or a significantly decreased by 10.85 points compared to the previous month.
In addition to the occupancy rate, the average length of stay for Jakarta’s star hotel guests in April 2023 has also decreased. The average length of stay for that month was 1.76 days, or slightly dropped by 0.09 days compared to the conditions in March 2023.
On the other hand, the composition of hotel guests was relatively consistent as the previous months. Indonesian guests dominate hotel room occupancy up to 94.32 percent, while the rest were foreign guest with the proportion of 5.68 percent.
