Data Collaboration in Regsosek 2022

September 14, 2022 | BPS Activities

The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas in collaboration with BPS, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Villages PDTT, and Ministry of Finance held a “National Webinar: Overseeing Social Protection System Reform through Socio-Economic Registration” today (14/9) on a hybrid basis.
Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa in his speech said Regsosek is one of the main pillars in the Reform of the Social Protection System that is more comprehensive, inclusive, and adaptive to various economic and social shocks. “We understand that we have made many efforts in social protection, both at the central, provincial, district/city, and village levels. These efforts certainly need to be strengthened, integrated, refined so that they are truly effective in achieving their goals and objectives,” added Suharso. In line with that, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian said that in the Ministry of Home Affairs' view, a social protection system is absolutely necessary, especially in Indonesia, which has a population of more than 270 million people.
BPS has the task of conducting the initial data collection of Regsosek which will be carried out on October 15-14 November 2022 throughout Indonesia. Head of BPS, Margo Yuwono, emphasized that this is a big job that requires coordination and cooperation from government agencies and the community. “Government collaboration will be realized starting from data collaboration. Programs will be more effective if the data is integrated, so that the initial data collection of Regsosek requires participation and collaboration from all parties so that this activity runs smoothly," said Margo. He further conveyed that the support was expected to cover three aspects, namely the field data collection process, utilization, and commitment to updating.
The webinar was filled with talk shows that presented speakers, namely Pungky Sumadi (Deputy for Population and Employment at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas), Ateng Hartono (Deputy for Social Statistics at BPS), Sugito (Director General for Rural and Rural Development Kemendesa PDTT), Sudarto (Organization Expert Staff, Bureaucracy, and Information Technology of the Ministry of Finance), and R. Budiono Subambang (Director of Synchronization of Regional Government Affairs III of the Ministry of Home Affairs).
