Jakarta - With the theme "Collaboration Creating Quality Statistics for Advanced Indonesia", the Head of BPS Margo Yuwono officially opened the Rapimkap at the beginning of 2023.
The Rapimkap which took place on January 13-14 2023 in Building 1.10 BPS was also attended by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Mendagri), Muhammad Tito Karnavian, and was attended by all Middle High Leaders, and BPS Primary High Leaders both Central and Regional.
There are three important big agendas that will be discussed in the Rapimkap this time. First, discussions regarding the expansion of inflation calculations for all regencies/cities; second, post-field data collection activities for Social Economic Registration (Regsosek); and third, the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023).
In his remarks, Margo explained that BPS in planning data collection always pays attention to the relevance of the government's needs. "So the key word that we hold is how to plan data collection according to the government's needs. So we try to fulfill what the government expects. Of course, taking into account the various aspects that are the limitations that we have, "he said.
On that occasion too, Margo asked for support from the Minister of Home Affairs and his staff in the regions in an effort to oversee BPS activities on the three big agendas of BPS.
In his keynote speech, Tito said that the issue of controlling inflation had become President Jokowi's concern. He put this in a high priority position on his agenda. This is due, stable prices of goods and services, will have a direct impact on society.
At the end of his speech, Tito also asked for support and requests and hopes from BPS regarding the problem of controlling inflation and poverty. "Our principle is to work together in order to help Mr. President to solve the problem of poverty and control inflation, which is also our service to society, nation and state concerning millions of people. And that is one form of our worship to the Almighty," he concluded.
