Today data is considered a new source of wealth. Valid data is believed to be the main key to the success of a country's development. Realizing this, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has officially stipulated Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data (SDI) on June 12, 2019. It is hoped that this Presidential Regulation will be able to regulate the governance of data produced by the government. In its elaboration, SDI aims to produce data that is accurate, up-to-date, integrated, and accountable, as well as easily accessible and shared between Central Agencies and Regional Agencies through compliance with the principles of Data Standards, Metadata, Data Interoperability, and the use of Reference Codes and Master Data. In order to carry out the task as the Advisor for Statistical data to determine the standard structure and format of metadata that applies across central agencies and/or Regional Agencies, the Central Statistics Agency has stipulated the Central Statistics Agency Regulation Number 5 of 2020 concerning Technical Guidelines for Statistical Metadata. This regulation explains the mechanism for collecting metadata and the procedure for filling in the statistical metadata formular by data producers. Furthermore, so that the aims and objectives of the regulation can be understood broadly and deeply by the stakeholders, it is necessary to conduct socialization.
