Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Gradually Improved in October 2022

Abstract

At the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2022, the performance of the Jakarta hotel industry started to improve, along with the increase in business trips held by the government, corporations, and individuals. Jakarta star hotels’ occupancy rate rose to 56.54 percent in October 2022 after stagnant at around 54 percent for four consecutive months. Based on guest’s nationality, the occupancy rate of hotel rooms was dominated by Indonesian guests at 92.14 percent, while the remaining 7.86 percent were foreign guests.

In line with the occupancy rate, the average length of stay of Jakarta star hotel guests in October 2022 rose by 0.09 days to 1.88 days compared to the month before. This situation is related to the increase in Indonesian guests’ average length of stay, which climbed by 0.08 days compared to the previous month.
