Jakarta’s Paddy, Maintaining Production Amid Land Depreciation (Temporary Number)

The existence of paddy fields in Jakarta is not only for growing paddy. Although the area is not very wide, the paddy fields have other strategic functions, namely as green open spaces (RTH), water absorption areas, and also as agricultural education. However, in 2021, the area of the paddy fields has been decreasing again. It was due to some lands have been converted to other function in order to fulfil the need of facilities and infrastructure in Jakarta. This conversion, for sure, has an impact on the harvested area and paddy production this year.
