Friends of Data, tea is a plantation commodity that has an important role in the Indonesian economy.

However, not many regions in Indonesia have tea plantations. There are a total of 10 provinces and all of them are located on the islands of Sumatra and Java. Besides being consumed domestically, Indonesia also exports and imports tea with various countries.

On this #KamiST, Statmin would also like to remind that plantation is one of the sub-sectors covered in the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023).
