Poverty Profile of DKI Jakarta Province 2024

Poverty is a global issue that is a priority at the international and national levels. This problem is also stated in the targets of local governments, including the DKI Jakarta Province. One of the SDGs targets is to eradicate poverty by 2030. Indonesia also makes poverty alleviation a main focus in development. Programs such as social assistance and economic empowerment are implemented to reduce poverty rates.The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the DKI Jakarta Province captures the conditions of the poor in the DKI Jakarta Province. Understanding in detail the living conditions of the poor is very important for formulating appropriate and efficient policies. Complete data allows the government to target assistance programs according to needs, so that efforts to improve welfare are more optimal.This publication presents data and information related to poverty and inequality indicators, as well as an explanation of the profile of the poor in the DKI Jakarta Province. In addition, the methodology for calculating poverty is also presented.
