Jakarta Star Hotel Occupancy Rate Continues to Rise, Towards the End of 2022

Abstract

The hospitality sector, which hardly hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, continued
to show an upward trend. After the government loosened the restrictions for foreign and domestic tourists, the Jakarta star-hotel occupancy rate gradually improved.
Jakarta star hotel’s occupancy rate was at 60,81 percent or moderately increased by 4.27 percentage points compared to the month before. Along with this condition, the average length of stay of star-hotel guests  slightly rose by 0.07 days compared to  October 2022.
Foreign guests’ visits to Jakarta star hotelsconsistently rose for two months. Thus,its proportion reached 8.50 percent inNovember 2022. However, the dominationof Indonesian guests, up to 91.50 percent, caused the Jakarta hotel industry still rely on visits from domestic guests in its recoveryprocess.
