Exports Hit One billion Dollar for the second time in 2022

Abstract

Export performance was inseparable from the influence of the world economy. The movements in global commodity prices have significantly affected export growth. In the midst of the current volatility in global commodity prices, Jakarta’s export performance was able to grow positively.

This performance was reflected in the rise of exports in August 2022.

Jakarta’s exports hit US$ 1 billion in this period, growing 10.1 percent compared to the previous month (month-to-month). This rise happened for the second time in 2022. The increase in exports occurred in most of the main exported commodities. The increasing demand for electrical machinery and equipment and their parts, mechanical machinery and equipment and their parts, and clothing and accessories (knitted) were

the main triggers for the rise in this period.
